sheaf

A little, every month.

In August 2026, 10 crore (100 million) Indian SIP accounts paid a fixed amount into mutual funds, as they do every month. A Sheaf monthly plan is the same habit onchain: a fixed amount of dollars into a basket of tokenized US stocks on a schedule. Each run places a dollar order that fillers compete to fill, and every fill moves the plan's reference price to where the market cleared, so the program never reads a price.

Every plan on Sheaf

Running a due plan needs no permission: anyone can send the transaction, and the plan can only do the one thing its owner allowed.

Why a monthly plan, and why India.

India already invests by monthly plan, and its savers want US companies in it. The regulator caps what Indian mutual funds may hold abroad, and in July 2026 Edelweiss, PGIM India and Franklin Templeton stopped taking fresh SIPs into some of their international funds because of it.

Business Today, 18 Jul 2026

Those 10 crore accounts are the habit and the evidence of demand, not Sheaf's market today. A resident buying tokenized stocks onchain meets the 30% crypto tax and 1% TDS, and FEMA hasn't settled whether it is allowed. So the path runs in three steps:

  1. 1

Indians abroad, where xStocks are sold.

xStocks aren't offered in the US, UK, Canada or Australia. Elsewhere they already reach retail investors: in June 2026 Bybit opened xStocks-backed SpaceX IPO shares to investors in the UAE.

  2. 2

    Platforms that already serve them.

Sheaf's monthly plan offered inside an app that already does the KYC and holds the license.

  3. 3

Residents of India, once FEMA and tax treatment are clear.

Not before. The rules below say why.

Rules for Indian residents

What applies today if you live in India and want US stocks. Each line links to where it comes from.

LRS limit

A resident may send up to $250,000 abroad each financial year under the Liberalised Remittance Scheme. That one limit covers everything together: travel, study, gifts and buying foreign shares.

RBI, LRS FAQ

TCS on remittances

Your bank collects 20% tax at source on investment remittances above ₹10 lakh in a financial year. It isn't a separate tax: you can set it against your income tax when you file your return, or claim it back.

Tickertape, updated 18 Aug 2026

Crypto tax

Crypto tokens are taxed as virtual digital assets: a flat 30% on gains, losses can't be set off, and 1% TDS on each transfer. Budget 2026 kept all of it. Tokenized stocks are reported to fall under the same rules.

Decrypt, Budget 2026LetsDataScience, Jun 2026

FEMA

Whether a resident may buy a tokenized US stock under FEMA, and whether it counts against LRS, is not settled. Until it is, Sheaf won't offer this to residents.

LetsDataScience, Jun 2026

NRIs

LRS is a scheme for residents. Non-resident Indians invest under the rules of the country they live in, so where xStocks are sold (not the US, UK, Canada or Australia) they are the clearer first users, through a regulated partner that already does KYC.

A working demo on Solana devnet that runs on test dollars. No real money moves, and Sheaf is not available as an investment product yet. Nothing on this page is an offer or advice.

The India waitlist

If you would run a monthly plan into US stocks, four questions tell us where you live, how much, and how you do it today. Where you live decides when Sheaf could serve you.

1. Where do you live?
2. How much would you invest a month?
3. How do you invest in US stocks today?

We use this only to tell you when Sheaf opens where you live. We keep your answers, the day you sent them and, if you leave one, your contact, stored once, plus the invite code you came with, if any. Salted hashes stop repeat answers: of the contact, or without one, of your connection and the day. No IP address, no wallet. Only answers with a contact are counted in public.
